Yakima Valley Farms, Produce, and Farm-Fresh Experiences
The Yakima Valley grows the largest variety of fresh grown produce in the Pacific Northwest. Our farmers and growers help make this one of the most important agricultural regions in the nation. Across the Valley, visitors will find fresh fruit stands, u-pick farms, and Farmers Markets.
Yakima Valley Farms and Produce
The Pacific Northwest’s widest range of produce
More than forty commercial crops are cultivated in the Yakima Valley, giving the region the largest variety of fresh grown produce in the Pacific Northwest. Our farmers and growers are the reason this is one of the most important agricultural regions in the nation. Irrigation, an irrigated high-desert climate, and volcanic soil combine to create ideal conditions for farm fresh produce.
For farm fresh fruits and vegetables at their freshest, visit one of the seasonal Farmers Markets found throughout the Valley. Nearly every community offers at least one outdoor Farmers Market between spring and fall, while some indoor markets remain open year-round.
