Event dates: 11/28/2026 - 11/29/2026

Toy Train Christmas evokes the tradition of placing toy trains around the Christmas tree. More than 40 model trains, ranging from Z scale to the real thing, are arranged for the holiday season. The waiting room features a 7 1/2? scale live steam model of NP 1364.

Visitors can watch Lego trains running in one room and children can create their own designs. Young guests can also take part in hands-on activities, including craft projects and toy trains intended for younger operators.

A train travels from the depot to the “North Pole,” where Santa welcomes passengers. The experience is meant to delight children of any age; notably, one passenger on record has believed in Santa for 102 years. Santa provides hot chocolate and cookies at no charge.

Admission proceeds support the restoration and maintenance of displays at the museum. Most major credit cards accepted.
