Wine Country

Over the past three decades, the Yakima Valley's viticulture has grown and matured, earning our winemakers a reputation as some of the most respected in the Northwest. More than 90 wineries and five AVA's are located within just 70 miles, creating a distinctive and rewarding wine-tasting experience.

Hops and Beer

Volcanic soil combined with long, hot days gives the Yakima area excellent conditions for growing hops. Our region produces over 70% of our nation's hops, so craft beer depends on the work of our farmers. Visit the Yakima Valley and visit the source.

Farms and Produce

The Yakima Valley helped pioneer "Farm-to-Table." With more than 40 commercial crops, our region offers the Pacific Northwest's greatest range of fresh-grown produce. Soak up the sunshine as you pick fruit yourself, or wander through one of the many Farmers Markets.

Outdoor Adventure

With 300 days of sunshine each year, the Yakima area welcomes anyone who enjoys spending time outdoors. It is one of the few destinations in Central Washington where skiing, biking, hiking, and golf can all fit into the same day. Even better, each activity is only a short drive away.
