The Yakima Valley’s historical roots are shaped by strong cultural traditions and a deep agricultural heritage. There is plenty to celebrate, from distinctive museums and signature events to gatherings held across the Valley throughout the year.

The region’s cultural life reflects historic Native American heritage, a vibrant Latino presence, and Filipino American influences. Cultural festivals offer opportunities to experience these traditions through flavors, music, and more.

Since the first days when the Yakama Nation settled the Valley, this area has been recognized for its agricultural abundance. Along with beloved farm festivals, the Valley celebrates its wine grape and hop-growing heritage through can’t-miss craft beverage and harvest festivals.
