Yakima Valley Museum — History, Exhibits, and Programs

The Yakima Valley Museum invites visitors to explore the history of the Yakima Valley through educational, hands-on exhibits and engaging programming.

Discover the Yakima Valley

Exhibits at Yakima Valley Museum include Life and Legacy of William O. Douglas, which explores the life of our longest serving U.S. Supreme Court Justice, who lived in Yakima. Visitors can also see a live bee hive and learn about the importance of pollinators.

Additional displays reflect the vibrancy and culture of our valley. Artifacts share stories from the past while celebrating the future of the region. Through its collections and programming, the Yakima Valley Museum connects audiences with the people, places, and events that have shaped our region.

The Museum Store offers locally made gifts, books, and other items connected to the stories of the Yakima Valley. On Tuesday-Saturday, visitors can also enjoy lunch at the 1930’s Soda Fountain, served from 10am-2pm.
