Our Winery

Muret-Gaston and Purple Star Wines began in 2008 with a clear aim: carry the spirit of wine all the way from vineyard to bottle and, ultimately, the table. We see wine as accessible, approachable and affordable. Above all, wine is meant to gather family and friends.

With more than 10 years of viticulture and winemaking experience in Washington State, our team understands how to make wine. Purple Star’s varietal blends come from some of Washington State’s finest appellations, including Wahluke Slope, Yakima Valley and Red Mountain. Grapes are handpicked at their optimal flavor profile, while the juice is fermented at cooler temperatures for longer periods. This approach gives the wines softer tannins and helps them retain more varietal character.

Stay Next Door

Our peaceful place next door to the winery offers a chance to stay and relax among apple and cherry orchards. The property is 0-7 miles from 10+ wineries, near the Columbia, Yakima and Snake Rivers, and 5-12 miles from 5 riding/hiking trails.

The entire house is yours. It includes an open floor plan kitchen/dinning room with an adjacent living room, two bedrooms with Queen size beds, and one bathroom.
