Kana is a native term for the spirit or inner fire of a mountain, referring to the perceived supernatural force of volcanic activity. Volcanic soils shape both the Yakima and Columbia Valleys, where millennia of “Kana” emerging from nearby volcanic mountains settled into the ground and created terroir for our world-class vineyards.
