Girls With Grit — Women’s Adventure Company
Girls With Grit helps women build confidence and develop new skills in a supportive setting alongside like-minded women. Owned and operated by Shannon Mahre, this local women’s adventure company creates opportunities for women throughout the PNW to grow beyond the blue runs on their skis and gain the skills to handle bumps, powder, crud, trees, and more.
Winter Ski Clinics
At White Pass Ski Area, Shannon leads women’s intermediate and advanced ski clinics along with Intro to Backcountry Ski Clinics. Each clinic opens with coffee and a round-robin discussion, followed by two hours of on-snow skills instruction. After a shared lunch, participants return to the slopes for two hours of coach-led free-skiing with Shannon and her co-coaches. The day wraps up with happy hour, high fives, and a Q + A session.
These clinics fill quickly, so participants are encouraged to plan ahead and reserve a place.
Warm-Weather Adventures
During the warmer months, Shannon offers women’s mountain bike clinics and lessons for beginner through advanced riders, river and lake stand up paddle board clinics, Cowgirl Camp, river SUP expeditions, and women’s fly fishing clinics and guided tours.
