The City of Tieton is positioned at the highest reaches of the Yakima Valley Basin, approximately 12 miles West of Yakima on scenic Summitview Rd. The Naches River and the City of Naches are approximately 5 miles North of the City. As you enter Tieton from Naches and reach the crest of the grade, the broad valley comes into view—a landscape recognized by the area’s first settlers as a place where homes could be built, crops cultivated, and children raised.
