History of the Stations

Apple Valley News Now consists of 2 full power TV stations: KAPP, digital channel 35 in Yakima, and KVEW, digital channel 42 in Tri-Cities.

KAPP began broadcasting to the region on September 21, 1970, as an ABC Network affiliate. KVEW followed approximately one month afterward. Apple Valley Broadcasting Inc. built both stations and remains their owner. Apple Valley Broadcasting operates as a subsidiary of Morgan Murphy Media.

The stations deliver network programming along with local service across seven counties in Washington and Oregon.
