Toy Train Christmas recalls the tradition of gathering around the Christmas tree with toy trains. More than 40 model trains, ranging from Z scale to the real thing, will be part of the Christmas display. Visitors can also see a 7 1/2 scale live steam model of NP 1364 in the waiting room.
A separate room features operating Lego trains, where kids can create and develop their own designs. Children can enjoy numerous hands-on activities, including craft projects and toy trains made for younger operators.
A train journey runs from the depot to the “North Pole,” where guests can visit Santa. The experience is intended to delight children of any age. One passenger on record has believed in Santa for 102 years. Santa also provides hot chocolate and cookies at no charge.
All admission proceeds support the restoration and maintenance of displays at the museum. Most major credit cards are accepted.
