Toy Train Christmas at the Northern Pacific Railway Museum in Toppenish, WA, takes place on November 28 and 29, December 5 and 6, and December 12 and 13, 19 and 20.

Kids and Family

Step into the holiday traditions of earlier generations, when toy trains circled the Christmas tree. More than 40 model trains, ranging from Z scale to full-size equipment, will be arranged for Christmas.

The waiting room features a 7 1/2? scale live steam model of NP 1364. In another room, operating Lego trains give children a chance to create and develop their own designs. Young visitors can also enjoy hands-on crafts and toy trains made for younger children to operate.

A train travels from the depot to the “North Pole,” where visitors can meet Santa. The experience is intended to delight children of any age; notably, one passenger on record has believed in Santa for 102 years. Santa provides hot chocolate and cookies at no charge.

Admission proceeds support the restoration and maintenance of displays at the museum. Most major credit cards accepted.
