Every Saturday and Sunday in October, Thompson’s Farm becomes one of Yakima Valley’s premier fall destinations. Generations of families have made this Pumpkin Patch part of their traditions, with visitors arriving from throughout Washington State for a full day of seasonal activities and shared memories.
Pumpkin picking is part of the experience, but it is only the beginning. Guests can watch pumpkin cannons send pumpkins soaring, cheer on pig races, take hayrides through the orchard, enjoy fresh homemade donuts prepared on-site, navigate a challenging corn maze, and discover plenty more fall attractions.
Visitors may choose the ideal pumpkin, pick fresh apples, or spend time outdoors together in a scenic rural setting. The festival brings classic harvest traditions together with distinctive attractions found on a fifth-generation family farm.
Admission and parking are FREE. Guests can enjoy the complimentary activities and pay only for the experiences or products they select. Pumpkin cannons fire on the hour from 10 am to 4 pm, with pig races following each firing. Fresh homemade donuts are made throughout weekend days, and apples are available for u-pick.
