10th Annual Images of the Shrub-Steppe at The Boxx Gallery in Tieton

At The Boxx Gallery in Tieton, Washington, Images of the Shrub-Steppe brings together visual art drawn from the lands and living character of the shrub-steppe, the local ecosystem of the Yakima Valley. The exhibition presents distinctive work that reflects the textures and life of this special home.

The exhibit will be open September 5 – 27, 2026, 11am-4 pm at Boxx Gallery in Tieton, WA.

The Artists' Reception takes place Saturday, September 5 at 1pm, with presentations of the Juror's Award and CCC Award. The Juror’s Award is $100, the People’s Choice Award is $100, and the CCC Award is $100.

Nancy Floyd is the juror for the exhibit. Her work uses photography, video, and mixed-media to explore how lens-based media can create deep connections with experience and memory.

During the exhibition, The Boxx Gallery will also host talks focused on ecology and art.
