The Washington Native Plant Society leads a free public workshop at Yakima Area Arboretum for exploring native plants through dichotomous keys and real samples. Topics may include grasses, leafless twig identification, and determining which native aster is being studied. The gatherings are informal rather than formal “classes,” with a nature-study-club feel and opportunities to strengthen knowledge of the flora of the inland northwest.
Registration is preferred, while walk-ins are welcome if space permits.
