About Tyler McGinnis

Tyler McGinnis grew up in Los Angeles, CA, and began seriously developing his musical path after high school, when he moved to Fremont, NE, to attend Midland University on a football scholarship. Following graduation, he settled in Seattle, WA, during the summer of 2017. He now lives there and has continued expanding his songwriting, live performance, and musical identity throughout his time in the PNW.

His songs draw creative energy from earlier and current experiences, presenting an intensified lyrical glimpse into his life. Tyler delivers commanding vocals across rich Americana and Alternative Country music, Southern Rock, and newly soulful melodic elements. His performances move from upbeat drinking songs made for singing along to reflections on lost love and past decisions, ultimately leaving listeners uplifted, refreshed, and in a genuinely good mood.
