Shop Catalina Holiday Kick-Off — A Week of Island Shopping and Cheer
Island retailers welcome shoppers with rarely offered savings on favorite island jewelry, art, apparel, distinctive gifts, housewares, and more. Enjoy seven days of holiday spirit, shopping, and fun.
Shop Catalina & Holiday Kick Off
Welcome the holiday season in beautiful Avalon at the Shop Catalina Holiday Kick-Off on Saturday, December 5, 2026. The celebration offers a festive opportunity to support local small businesses and begin Christmas and Hanukkah shopping. Guests can enjoy exclusive discounts, prize drawings, and holiday magic with family and friends.
Yule-tide cheer will fill the day with live caroling, a special visit from Santa, and the lighting of the Catalina Island Christmas tree on the Wrigley Stage. The community will gather in the heart of Avalon for the celebration. Activities begin at 12 pm, with events continuing throughout the day on the Wrigley Stage. On opening day, shops remain open until 8 pm, offering opening day discounts that tend to be a little extra.
The celebration continues beyond opening day. From December 5 to December 12, shoppers can obtain a Shop Catalina Discount Card, valid through December 24, and visit participating shops throughout Avalon. Every participating store provides chances to enter in-store prize drawings and gather Treasure Card code words. These entries provide opportunities to win one of three Grand Prizes: Catalina Island Gift Certificates up to $125!
