Holiday Celebrations and Events on Catalina Island

Build your Catalina Island getaway around seasonal celebrations for Halloween, Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Years Eve, Valentine's Day, and the 4th of July.

Catalina Island offers holiday events throughout the year. In February, visitors can enjoy Valentine’s Day along with Catalina’s Month of Romance. During July, Avalon and Two Harbors each host a 4th of July Celebration. October brings fall festivities, including a Fall Festival, plus Halloween activities such as trick or treating, parties, haunted gardens, and parades. In December, the annual tree lighting and Shop Catalina holiday event open the season, leading into an island-style New Year’s Eve celebration to welcome the new year.
