Veterans and non-veterans alike are welcome at American Legion SLP Post 282. The post has supported our troops and the community since 1924. Along with its restaurant, it hosts weekly bingo games and meat raffles, provides catering, and offers a banquet hall for special occasions.

Food and Dining

The American Legion serves traditional American food, including burgers, sandwiches, and wraps. Begin with portabella mushroom fries or cheese curds, then select a sandwich, burger, or wrap accompanied by your choice of 282 house made chips, fries, tots, or onion rings.

The kitchen is open daily from 11 am – 8 pm. Weekly dining features include weekday lunch specials, taco Tuesday, $5 burger Wednesday, prime rib Thursday, Friday fish fry, and Sunday brunch.

Event Space

For smaller gatherings, the Legion provides a dedicated event setting. Its Banquet Room seats up to 75 people and is regularly used for birthday celebrations, community events, award ceremonies, wedding receptions, and other occasions.
