The ROC is a covered, multi-purpose outdoor recreation venue on the Rec Center campus. From October through early March, the facility operates as an outdoor skating rink, with public skating on Friday nights and weekend afternoons. Weekend pond hockey is free and open to all ages.
Available for rental, the ROC hosts broomball and a range of special events. The Minnesota Wild also hold a practice there each year.
Multiple Uses
When spring arrives, the ice rink can be transformed into a turfed field for baseball, softball, soccer, and lacrosse. The space also accommodates special occasions, including the annual spring egg hunt.
In summer, the rink becomes a dry concrete floor suitable for the Children First Ice Cream Social and many other events, including weddings, movies in the park, and graduation parties.
The ROC provides 17,000 sq. ft. of total space. Its primary rental area is 200 ft. by 85 ft. and has bleacher seating for 450.
Catering may be provided by preferred vendors.
