About Aquila Park

Situated on the west side of St. Louis Park, Aquila Park provides several facilities for athletics and outdoor recreation.

During summer and fall, visitors can use the lighted softball diamonds and football field. The park also includes basketball courts, 8 tennis courts available for rental, horseshoe pits, and a playground structure. In winter, a sliding hill is available.

The North Cedar Lake Regional Trail passes through Aquila Park and supports biking, walking, and running.

Visitors will find picnic tables and sun shelters throughout the park; the shelters can be rented. Additional facilities include Wi-Fi, outdoor grills, restrooms, a water fountain, and off-street parking.

Aquila Park is also the location of the annual Fireworks Celebration, which draws upwards of 6,000 people to the hillside to watch the festivities.
