Milly Valley Kitchen (MVK) grew from the shared passion of husband-and-wife team Mike and Abby Rakun. Their goal is to create food that combines nourishment with great flavor. The restaurant pays tribute to the Mill Valley Region of Northern California, a community recognized for thoughtfully crafted food and credited with the birth of the Slow Food movement and sustainable farming. MVK brings locally sourced, farm-to-table food to a cozy fine dining setting and offers a lovely outdoor patio.

The Food

MVK works with sustainable, locally sourced meats and produce, along with the finest seafoods. Its menu centers on fresh, feel-good food, with a range of choices for special dietary needs, including gluten-free, vegan, and other allergy or dietary restrictions.

Lunch features selections such as sandwiches, salads, and flatbreads. Seasonal menu changes may include entrées like seared salmon, pot roast, and scallop cioppino. The wine program includes over 70 selections, with particular attention to vineyards in California’s Napa Valley and Sonoma County. Guests can also choose local tap beers and signature cocktails. House made ginger beer and kombucha on tap are among the non-alcoholic offerings.

Events

MVK has a cozy private dining room suited to corporate dinners, family get togethers, graduation parties, bridal and baby showers, and other gatherings of up to 18 people. Dining is available a la carte or through prix fixe menus selected by the host.

Catering

Lunch and dinner catering are both available. Buffet-style favorites include the Miso Glaze Seabass and the Herb Roasted Chicken with farro risotto. Boxed lunches are another option, with catering choices intended to fit a variety of needs.
