Sledding and Snow Tubing
Snow-covered slopes provide plenty of opportunities for an exciting ride. Throughout St. Louis Park and Golden Valley, visitors can choose from numerous sledding and snow tubing locations.
Snow Tubing
At Theodore Wirth Regional Park, The Tubing Hill offers family-friendly rides. The hill sits just behind The Trailhead and has a tow rope that helps tubers return to the top. Visitors need to bring warm clothing; tubing equipment and the remaining essentials are provided. The rope-tow generally operates on Friday evenings and weekends, while tubing may also be available at other designated times. Outside rope-tow hours, riders should expect to walk back uphill.
Only tubes provided by The Loppet Foundation may be used on The Tubing Hill, and they are included with the tubing pass. Tow-rope riders must be at least five years of age and 44” tall. Each tube is limited to one person, and anyone under age 16 must have an accompanying adult. Parking is located beside The Trailhead.
