Par for the Course

Minnesota’s Sweet Spot brings together tree-lined fairways, pristine greens, and several courses suited to golfers at every skill level. A hole in one could be waiting.

Brookview Golf & Lawn Bowling

Brookview has an 18-hole regulation course as well as a Par 3 9-hole course. Mature fairways, moderate bunkering, and beautifully maintained greens define the Regulation Course. Bassett Creek runs through the layout and crosses six holes. Golfers can choose from multiple tee settings, with the total distance spanning 6,397 yards to 5,328 yards. The course is open to ages 10 and up.

Beginning golfers can enjoy the Par 3 Course, while its varied, challenging design gives experienced players a place to refine their short game. Trees, sand traps, and water hazards add difficulty for players at every level. It is a good choice for anyone looking to fit in a quick round. Youth ages 4-9 must be accompanied by an adult.

Additional Brookview amenities include a driving range and a golf shop with golfing essentials. The site is also home to the largest lawn bowling green in the state and the Three One Six Bar + Grill.

Meadowbrook Golf Club

Established in 1926, Meadowbrook Golf Course occupies a quaint neighborhood setting. Its 18-hole course includes gently rolling hills, fairways bordered by old growth trees, and strategically positioned bunkers. Historic Minnehaha Creek winds through the property, bringing natural beauty to the round. The course measures from 3, 298 yards to 2,479 yards and has a practice green. Hours run from sunrise to sunset.

Theodore Wirth Golf Club

Wirth Golf Club ranks among the oldest public courses in the state. Bassett Creek and several man-made lagoons accompany the front nine, while rolling hills and mature trees shape the back nine. Golfers can also enjoy some of the most scenic views of the Minneapolis downtown skyline. Course length ranges from 6,575 yards to 3,646 yards.

A 1,240-yard Par 3 course is also available at Wirth, set among secluded woods and verdant greenery. It works well for a mid-day break or a relaxed family outing. Children ages 7+ are welcome, and tee times are available on a first come basis.

During the season, both courses operate daily from 6:30 am to sunset. Golfers can use the practice green to work on putting and chipping. The distinctive clubhouse draws its design from a Swiss Chalet, with a pro shop and locker rooms on the lower level and an event space for gatherings up to 100 on the upper level.
