The Historic Walker Lake District is a newly revitalized part of St. Louis Park, organized around Walker St. and Lake St.

At the heart of the district is the historic Walker Building, St. Louis Park’s oldest commercial building. Constructed in 1892, the building now houses sota clothing.

Murals stretch along the building’s west side, giving visitors several memorable photo opportunities. Pose with Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox, or visit the You Betcha We Love It Here photo station, where the surrounding décor shifts seasonally. It is a fitting place to show off distinctly Minnesotan sota swag.

The neighborhood also offers places to dine, receive a massage, style your hair, and care for your favorite furry friend.

On the way out, visit the amazing 1,500 sq. ft. mural on the south side of the Minneapolis Window Shade building at Walker St. and Dakota Ave. Its imagery reflects the vibrant area’s past, present and future.
