Positioned between Excelsior & Grand and The Rec Center, Wolfe Park ranks among the largest neighborhood parks in St. Louis Park. Families can explore the large Biba Smart Playground, an interactive play structure designed to promote play through a free phone app. Walking paths and a fishing pond offer recreation for adults, with the pond stocked with bluegill, black crappie, largemouth bass, northern pike and yellow perch.

Playground, Trails & Fishing

The large Biba Smart Playground gives children an interactive place to play with support from a free phone app. The park’s walking trails and fishing pond provide additional ways to enjoy the outdoors. Fish found in the pond include bluegill, black crappie, largemouth bass, northern pike and yellow perch.

Sport Courts

Wolfe Park includes a basketball court, a sand volleyball court and five pickleball courts. From April – October, courts can be rented for a fee. Picnic Shelters

With outdoor grills, picnic tables and two picnic shelters, the park offers a setting for picnic lunches. The Main Shelter accommodates up to 100 people, and the East Shelter accommodates 35. Reservations for both shelters may be made in advance.

For year-round events, the Wolfe Park Building accommodates up to 30 guests. The pavilion provides tables and chairs, AC, an indoor fireplace, restrooms and free WiFi.

Veterans’ Memorial Amphitheater

On Wolfe Park’s south side, the Veterans’ Memorial Amphitheater is terraced into the hillside. Its eight terraced tiers provide seating for 200 people. During the summer months, the amphitheater hosts live music concerts and open mic nights.

Outside public events, the venue is available to rent for weddings and other private gatherings from 8 am – 10 pm daily. The Veterans’ Memorial rock is located near the Veteran’s Memorial wall area.
