Situated on the west side of St. Louis Park, Oak Hill Park is a popular summer destination with a wide range of activities and facilities. Visitors can use the softball diamonds, basketball courts, and trails, while young children can cool down at the Splash Pad. During winter, the park features a large sliding hill and a lighted skating rink open for public use.

The park also offers a relaxing setting for picnics, with numerous tables and shelters distributed throughout the grounds. A playground provides entertainment for children and adults alike.

Picnic Shelters and Park Building

Oak Hill Park’s open-air shelters can host groups of different sizes and include electricity, free WiFi, outdoor grills, and picnic tables.

The Oak Hill Park Building is an enclosed facility with an indoor restroom, tables, chairs, and an indoor fireplace. It can host groups of 20-50.

Off-street parking is available.

Park buildings and shelters may be reserved for a fee. A permit is required for live bands or amplified music. Renters are not allowed to bring alcoholic beverages into any park.

Oak Hill Splash Pad

The 2,350-square-foot Splash Pad gives children the opportunity to trigger bubbling hoses, water nozzles, and sprinkler arches. A wave of the hand over the sensor bollard starts the water, creating an oversized version of running through a sprinkler. The attraction is especially well suited to families with younger children.

Parents should always accompany and supervise children. Rubber-soled water shoes are strongly recommended.

Weather permitting, the Splash Pad generally operates from June to Labor Day.

Hours of operation: Daily, 10 am – 8 pm.
