Hands-On Cooking Classes in St. Louis Park and Golden Valley

Nordic Ware Factory Store

The Nordic Ware Factory Store offers much more than bakeware and cooking supplies: its contemporary demonstration kitchen hosts cooking classes twice a month, on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Local chefs, cookbook authors and experienced cooking instructors lead demonstration-style cooking and baking sessions. Each class includes samples and recipes to take home for the featured menu.

Past offerings have included Midsommer Kransekaka and Tomato Party Recipes. On the evening of a class, guests also receive 15% off any regularly-priced Nordic Ware brand products purchased in the store. Enrollment is capped at 22 people per class, so early registration is recommended.

Private Cooking Events for Groups

Nordic Ware can create a private cooking class or shopping experience for bridal showers, company events, girls’ or guys’ nights out, and other group gatherings. In an intimate setting, guests can enjoy a meal while learning techniques from an experienced chef instructor.

Bakehouse

Whether you are making your first pastry or continuing to develop advanced skills, the Bakehouse crew makes learning enjoyable. Their classes are offered in partnership with local chefs and cover a range of techniques and specialties.

Examples of previous classes include cake decorating: florals (eat me bakery), homemade dumplings (Saturday Dumpling Co.), charcuterie boards & homemade crackers (nosh & gather), and pie dough 101.

Celebrations and Parties at Bakehouse

Bakehouse handles the planning and clean-up for celebrations. Birthday groups can make pizza, decorate cupcakes, or build their own cake. These activities work well for both children’s and adults’ celebrations.
