Experience cross-country skiing, fat-tire biking, skijoring, snowshoeing, Kubb, family activities, and more at the Loppet Winter Festival in Golden Valley.

The City of Lakes Loppet Winter Festival is a 2-day urban ski celebration hosted at Theodore Wirth Regional Park in Golden Valley and around the Chain of Lakes. The program includes several point-to-point Cross-Country Ski Loppets, Fat-Tire Bike Loppets, and Skijor Loppets, along with the Snowshoe Loppet.

Families can choose from competitive races and non-competitive touring events. The festival also features distinctive offerings including the Next Generation Loppet and the very Minnesotan Captain Ken’s Kubb Tournament. Visitors can spend time at the Utepils Beer Garden & Festival Village.

The Luminary Loppet, the most magical night of winter, takes place on February 13 and supports The Loppet Foundation as a fundraiser.
