Brand MCP by Intentful: governed brand knowledge for AI tools

Bring approved brand knowledge into the AI tools your teams and partners already rely on.

Brand MCP gives approved teams, agencies, advisors, and partners a controlled path to use your brand’s current, approved knowledge within AI assistants and agentic workflows. The result: the work they produce is anchored in the brand you intend the world to see.

The Challenge

AI is becoming part of everyday work, but people are not always working from the same brand truth.

Internal teams turn to AI for content drafts, briefs, product summaries, questions, campaigns, sales support, and faster research. Agencies use it for creative development, PR, media planning, social, messaging, and strategy. Advisors, partners, franchisees, and distributed groups use it when describing the brand to customers and clients.

01 Different tools

One person may ask one AI tool, while another uses something else — and each tool may bring a different context to the answer.

02 Different context

That context might come from outdated decks, copied notes, website excerpts, public search, model memory, or whatever happened to be pasted into a chat.

03 Different answers

The output can seem believable while still being off-brand, outdated, incomplete, inconsistent, or simply wrong.

That turns into a brand control issue. As more teams and partners use AI, keeping the brand’s representation consistent across all of them becomes harder.

How It Works

A secure brand knowledge plug-in connects your brand to AI tools.

MCP is a standard that lets AI applications connect to external tools and data sources. Through a controlled MCP connection, a brand can make its approved knowledge available. Approved users then connect that knowledge inside a compatible AI environment. After connection, the AI assistant can call on the brand’s knowledge when someone asks for support with brand-related work.

1 Approved brand knowledge

Current, curated knowledge approved by your brand.

2 Brand MCP connection

A secure connection governs what the AI is allowed to access.

3 The AI tools your teams use

The knowledge becomes available in the environments where your teams already work.

Your brand remains in control of the source. Users remain inside the AI tools they already use. The AI can access current, approved brand knowledge at the moment it is needed.

Clear Expectations

What Brand MCP does — and what it is not.

Creative agencies

Base campaign ideas on the latest positioning, audience, tone, offers, and proof points.

Advisors & partners

Describe services, policies, or product details accurately instead of depending on stale decks.

Internal teams

Create sales materials, onboard new employees, or answer brand questions from a shared source.

Brands working with agencies, advisors, franchisees, partners, or field teams.

Works In

AI assistants, agents, and environments that support MCP connectors.

Outcome

AI-assisted work becomes more consistent because it is grounded in approved brand knowledge.

Early Access

Brand MCP is currently rolling out in early access. Intentful can discuss how a governed brand knowledge connection would operate for your teams and partners.

About Brand MCP

Brand MCP is an Intentful product in early access that offers a governed brand knowledge connection for AI tools. MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a standard that lets AI applications connect to external tools and data sources. Brand MCP applies that standard so a brand’s current, approved knowledge can be used inside AI assistants, agents, and environments that support MCP connectors.

Approved users — including internal teams, agencies, advisors, franchisees, partners, or field teams — connect the Brand MCP within the AI environment they already use. Once it is connected, their AI assistant can reference the brand’s approved knowledge when they request help with brand-related tasks such as drafting, briefing, planning, summarizing, or answering brand questions.

Brand MCP is not an SEO product, not a public AI citation or ranking mechanism, and not a connector to all company data. Its purpose is narrower: the knowledge people are meant to rely on when representing the brand. The brand decides which knowledge is available, and connecting the MCP is a deliberate action taken by an approved user or environment.

Brand MCP is also available as one of the components of the Intelligent Brand Suite. To join the early-access list or discuss how it would work for your organization, please contact Intentful.
